Surface Drilling Division within Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is seeking for a Project Office Data Specialist to join our growing team and focus on building reporting tools and enable transparency in our operations and decision making. The position is based in Tampere, where Surface Drilling has a global technology and manufacturing center for drilling equipment.
You will be a key driver in our change towards a future of data-driven decision making. In this role you will take ownership of designing and maintaining our data architecture using Microsoft PowerBI and other relevant tools and software. You will be utilizing data from multiple sources ranging from ERP, PLM and CRM data to unit telemetry information. The tools you create will be used for communication, management, decision making and collaboration for various roles and organizations, making a real difference in building a more data-driven tomorrow.
Your main responsibilities include:
• Implement PowerBI reports based on various needs throughout our organisation
• Design and maintain our data architecture for easy accessibility
• Data analysis based on different needs in order to improve our project models and processes
• Take a leading role in ensuring data integrity and quality and create checkpoints to assist in this
• Develop the efficiency of data processing through creating optimal structures for analysis
• Combine telemetry, maintenance and logistics data to develop valuable insights and solutions
• Drive and support overall development of data analytics within the organization
You have experience in Microsoft PowerBI and good understanding of what successful digital reporting requires, but even more importantly you adapt quickly to new ways of working & processes and are good at communicating effectively in a cross-functional environment with both internal and external stakeholders. A good understanding of ERP, CRM or PLM software is appreciated in addition to excellent understanding of working with their corresponding databases. You are an excellent problem solver who actively looks for new solutions and better ways of working. You enjoy working under pressure in the multicultural project environment leading the project team to meet the challenging project targets and milestones satisfying the customer needs in the end.
