Your tasks include project plan preparations, contract management, budget follow-up and estimating, schedule management, internal and external reporting, risk management as well as management of possible contractual disputes with customers and subcontractors. An important part of the Project Manager’s job is to develop the interface between Valmet and the customer, as that is usually the way to best outcomes.
The Project Manager will also offer support during the sales phase, overseeing that the contractual obligations are realistic from a project execution perspective and ensuring a smooth transfer from Sales to Project.
The position is located in Tampere, Finland.
To be successful in this position you should have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and strong experience in international project execution. Experience from the pulp and energy industry is also highly appreciated. You are fluent in English, both written and verbal. This position includes regular travelling and customer visits.

You are naturally good with money and also understand the indirect cost implications of your decisions. You work independently and can make informed decisions in sometimes changing and uncertain situations.
