We are hiring a project manager for a new project aiming at speeding up steel sector decarbonization. The project manager will
- analyze the SBTi 1.5C Sector Guidance development process and other relevant green steel standards/ initiatives
- plan and implement stakeholder dialogues with steel buyers and industrial investors
- build a global network of steel decarbonization experts and campaigners within the WWF network and beyond
We are looking for a person with a balanced combination of knowledge of the steel industry, networking skills and experience in campaign work.
The project is focusing on stakeholders in Northern Europe, but we will align ourselves with global campaigns. You will be part of the Climate program team of WWF Finland, but the only person focusing on this specific project.
WWF Finland has a total staff of 75 people. We have got excellent ratings in Great Place to Work surveys. Our office is situated in Helsinki, but telecommuting is possible. As an employee you need to be registered for taxation in Finland. We require fluent English language skills for this job, but good Finnish language skills are also needed, since it is the operational language of WWF Finland.
Our contracts are based on Finnish labour legislation. We offer full time work (effective work time 7h 30 min per day), initially for 16 months starting in August/ September 2022.Please submit your salary wish in your application.
