We are looking for a
Project Manager, Renewable Processes
to join our technology development team in Porvoo.
We have a compact size team of experts working in the Renewable Processes team in Engineering Solutions’ Technology function. Our team is responsible for development of NEXBTL and wastewater treatment technologies and supporting production facilities through R&D and technology development projects. NEXBTL is our proprietary HVO technology for production of hydrocarbons from renewable oils and fats for fuels, polymers and chemicals.
As a Project Manager you will be in a key role in contributing to Neste's journey to become global leader in renewable and circular solutions!
Your main responsibilities in creating a sustainable future are
Acting as a project manager for a project providing technical expertise and support to all Neste’s renewable diesel production sites
Managing 100+ of support request per annum
Providing technical subject matter expertise
Creating added value by providing concrete improvement proposal to the production
Supporting business units in the decision making
Coaching experts / project team members
Developing project practices and ways of working
You will work closely with production site representatives, technology experts, engineering disciplines, R&D, modelling experts, business stakeholder and other internal/external stakeholders to accomplish Neste’s strategic goals. You will report to Manager, Renewable Processes and steering managers in matrix in Porvoo.
The best combination to success in this role
Project management experience or similar in the field of technology development or R&D or similar
Excellent organising, communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
Capability to manage big entities but also understand importance of details
5+ years of relevant technical experience of process design, process development or production in the field of renewable or fossil oil refining, petrochemical or chemicals
Business oriented mindset
Fluent written and spoken command of English
We also value
Knowledge of pretreatment technologies of renewable feedstocks or HVO technologies
Willingness to take ownership, and high motivation and commitment
Hands-on attitude and willingness to learn
The position will be located in our office in Neste Engineering Center of excellence in Porvoo, Finland. We work where we are most productive and offer flexible opportunities to work remotely. To promote cooperation and the sense of belonging we have agreed on meeting face to face with the team regularly and depending on the project needs.
