We are looking for a Project Manager, Renewable fuels to be placed in Espoo, Finland. Our team belongs to City Solutions Division and is part of Biobased Solutions unit.
Our way of working is based on cross-functional networking inside Fortum organizations, with chosen industrial partners and external research organizations. Focus of our team is to initiate and develop new business in the area of bio refining favoring strong synergy with our existing capabilities and businesses.
As a Project manager you will manage internal and external development projects and contribute to division -wide development program. Your primary responsibilities are in the area of liquid biofuel development, as pyrolysis derived fuels.

You have an academic degree (M.Sc./PhD) in Chemistry, Process Chemistry or Biomass refining. You have Industrial/research experience of minimum 5 years in the area of bio-refining, thermochemical processes or organic/wood chemistry. You are familiar with catalyst -technologies and analytical methods as well. Experience in systematic project management in an international environment is also appreciated.
As a person you have self-initiative, positive attitude, curiosity, drive for results and you feel comfortable in working in our multi-cultural network. You have a fluent command of both spoken and written Finnish and English.
