We are now looking for an experienced Project Expert, Business Operations Finance to join our Finance & Control Development organization to participate, as finance expert, in development initiatives in the area of Business Operations and its integrated finance operations, together with our process experts.

Finance & Control Development organization is part of UPM Finance & Control (F&C) and focuses on accelerating performance improvement and leading mid- and long-term change. The key aim is to support and add value for F&C function and UPM businesses by optimizing and automating finance processes and solutions with quality and efficiency. The team works in close co-operation with Finance Operations, Business Control, IT, and businesses of UPM.

What you’ll do

As your first assignment you will participate in the implementation of a new ERP. You will be covering from the finance point of view a wide range of processes such as: material management, supply chain, demand planning, sourcing and procurement, contract management and manufacturing. You will work very closely with process design owner, process owners and other project team members. In addition, you are in the key role to ensure that the implemented solution is ready on time and according to the designed process.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Contribute in significant role in implementation of an integrated ERP focusing on finance processes and finance flows from business operations.
  • Drive the roll out of the finance template, throughout all the project phases including finance integration to business processes
  • Perform change management activities including active communication and guidance of contributors and stakeholders, process documentation, end-user trainings
  • Work closely with Business Operations experts in the project to ensure that finance implications of processes are well covered, as part of business-finance integrated processes
  • Participate in additional initiatives as contributor, this includes e.g initiatives in any development stage
  • Ensure the successful handover to support organization upon project closure

Who you are

  • You have Master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration or similar education
  • You have more than 5 years of relevant experience in integrated finance processes, with a solid understanding of interpretation of business operations to finance postings
  • You have proven experience in process and solutions development
  • You have good understanding of business and data architecture
  • You have experience in SAP, ideally with S4 / Hana (Finance and Logistics)
  • You have a result-driven way of working and committed to delivering on time
  • You have experience in project and change management activities
  • You are experienced in leading people
  • You are fluent in English and have experience from international business environment
