Project Engineer, ABB Oy Marine & Ports

WORKTASKS

As a Project Engineer, you will be part of ABB Oy Marine & Ports Propulsion Services division. In this position your main responsibility is to ensure that reported Azipod® condition management equipment malfunctions are rectified in timely manner and cost effectively. Rectifying malfunction can be from straight forward spare part case to more complicated one where delivery scope can even require designing of tailor-made retrofit solution. Your role is to ensure solutions are available, communicated, documented, and implemented onboard.

To achieve your goals, you will need to closely work with several internal stakeholders. For this reason, ownership and good communication skills are essential to succeed in this position. To ensure malfunctions are rectified in timely manner travelling to service interventions can be required time to time.

As a Project Engineer, you will be employed in a permanent employment relationship, where Adecco will be your employer. Employment starts as soon as the suitable professional is found.

WHAT WE REQUIRE FROM YOU

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree and proven technical competence in instrumentation, automation, or electrical engineering
• Excellent written and spoken skills in English and Finnish
• Experience from commissioning or site works from the maritime industry is seen as an advantage
• Ability to travel is considered as an advantage

As a person you have positive attitude and the ability to cooperate, communicate and work parallel with several on-going projects. You have a sense of urgency, and you can solve commitments quickly and cost-efficiently.
