Metsä Board is looking for
PROJECT DIRECTOR, SUPPLY CHAIN
related to the pre-engineering project of a new folding boxboard mill with an annual capacity of approximately 800,000 tonnes at the Kaskinen mill site in Finland. The pre-engineering phase will include technical design, design of infrastructure and logistics solutions and tendering for the main equipment. The pre-engineering for the new folding boxboard mill is based on fossil-free production and world-class resource and production efficiency.
Your role in the future Metsä
As a Project Director, Supply Chain you are responsible for the detailed design of the supply chain between the board mill and the customers. In cooperation with Metsä Board’s and Metsä Group’s logistics, supply chain and sheeting professionals you plan the scale-up of our supply chain and define the needed changes to our current ways of working. You report to Senior Vice President, Sales and Supply Chain and closely cooperate with Vice President, Supply Chain as well as the Kaskinen mill pre-engineering project organization.
What are we looking for?
We expect you to have a holistic view of running a global B-to-B distribution networks of large-volume industrial products. You have held demanding leadership positions in supply chain or logistics. You master different modes of transportation in maritime and land logistics to the level that enables you to successfully steer the work of our experts in those areas. Experience from converting/sheeting of paperboard is an asset. To be successful in this position you will need to be result-oriented combined with excellent communication and networking skills. You need to be able to work under pressure solving problems pro-actively independently and in the team. You are a fluent communicator in English and you hold a relevant university degree.
