A driven and ambitious Programme Lead to participate in large and challenging core collection system implementation within Lowell Finland.
Lowell is about to start a programme to replace current, in-house built core system with new commercial solution. This is a large programme consisting of multiple sub-projects, spanning over a longer period, and requiring a large amount of effort and resources. Programme is to be done in close co-operation with selected system vendor.
Your role is to work with the Programme Owner and Programme Manager in leading the programme to success, ensuring efficient working and that results, and outcomes are delivered in time. You will report to the Programme Owner, and act on Programme Owner’s behalf towards the team and Programme / Project Managers when needed. You are also expected to participate in the hands-on work with the project teams in areas which fit your expertise.
Depending on your profile you could also have following tasks:
Programme’s financial follow up and monitoring of the business case.
Manage selected system vendor, monitoring contractual items and ensuring smooth co-operation.

Your professional profile
We are looking for a candidate with minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in Finnish debt collection industry, with good understanding of debt collection business. Basic understanding of IT and technical aspects, what happens “under the hood” and e.g., how interfaces work, is a large plus. Optimal candidate has been working in several roles and experienced different aspects of collections.
You are analytical problem solver, and good at organising things and creating structures where needed, able to see the “big picture”. You avoid jumping to conclusions, you can dive into the bottom of things if needed to extract facts and form an educated independent opinion. You can simplify complex things and structures where necessary, and you are comfortable in building a presentation and giving your recommendations to decision makers / senior management.
Teamworking skills are essential, and you are familiar in co-operating with people from various backgrounds and skills. You take different views and opinions into account but are also comfortable in making decisions quickly when needed.
There is no specific requirements for education, but in general you are expected to have at least a 2nd degree education from suitable field.
Requirements:
Proven team and people management skills
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in collection industry, and a vision about the future
Good understanding of collection business, technical understanding is a plus.
Good knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint

Good mood and desire to collaborate with different people, including a positive can-do attitude
You feel comfortable taking decisions, and you have capability to handle conflicting interests and capability to at times say “no”.
You are articulate and clear in your argumentation and can express your opinions in clear and respective manner.
Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken, is required

Location
The Programme Lead preferably will work from our office in Turku, but other locations can be discussed as well. We support remote working, but during the programme physical presence in Turku office is required on a weekly basis, to collaborate with the team and other stakeholders.
