The health and wellbeing sector in Finland has grown and become more international at a faster pace than ever before and we have all the possibilities to be an internationally known pioneer country in research and innovation, investments and new business. Health and wellbeing is one of Business Finland’s priority areas where we proactively facilitate the growth of world-class ecosystems, accelerate companies’ exports and attract investments and new knowledge to Finland.

Business Finland programs are fixed-term commitments to identified fields of economic potential. Via these programs domestic and international research organizations, companies, and other interest groups combine their efforts to increase international business, to enhance competitiveness and to renew Finnish society. The Smart Life Finland program boosts the digital transformation of health and wellbeing services and promotes the emergence of new businesses and competitive ecosystems utilizing exponential technologies and digital platform economy solutions.


As the Manager of the program, your mission is to run it successfully as part of Business Finland’s community of experts together with external stakeholders.

Participate in the strategic planning and operational activities of the program

  • Lead the internal virtual program team and outsourcing services
  • Influence relevant national and international stakeholder groups
  • Actively participate in national initiatives, projects and networks, promoting the opportunities of Finnish partners
  • Act as the spokesperson and channel of information for the program in various forums
  • Help Finnish companies internationalize and make the domestic competitive environment even more attractive
  • Define strategic research needs and gather relevant information on research and joint projects to be financed

We expect you to be passionate about developing Finland as a forerunner in combining digital know-how in the development of human wellbeing. We expect you to have experience in international business and innovation activities, especially working at the company interface.  A good knowledge of the Finnish health and wellbeing sector ecosystem and the sector´s business concepts and business networks is required. A result-oriented mindset and proven team and project management skills are necessary. We expect an academic degree in the relevant field and fluent Finnish and English.
