Job Description


We are now seeking for a Production Manager to the Metso Valve factory in Vantaa. In this new position, you will lead our factory’s Heavy Value Stream.


As a Production Manager, you will be heading heavy parts machining and heavy valve assembly as well as planning, development and quality of the stream. You will be responsible for the daily management and pay attention especially to the synchronizing and optimizing of these two functions. You will ensure that our products are assembled on schedule and adjust the schedules when needed.  

You will take responsibility for developing the flow of the whole value stream with Lean methods together with your team and colleagues.

You will be line manager for supervisors and production planners and the total amount of personnel in your area is 50. You have budget responsibility according to annual plans and KPI's. You will report to the senior manager of the Heavy and Special value stream and work closely with procurement, factory acceptance testing, subcontracting and other streams in Vantaa factory.


To Succeed

To succeed in this role, you should have at least a few years of experience in managing manufacturing operations. We value especially experience in machining or heavy manufacturing. You have a B.Sc. degree in a technical field and you are experienced in LEAN; Green Belt is an advantage. You are familiar with kaizen and root cause analysis techniques.

In this role, you need to understand HSE and its importance in heavy manufacturing.

Your workstyle is systematic and persistent. You manage your own work well and you take things forward efficiently and in good collaboration with others. Your communication skills are great and you are fluent in English and Finnish, both written and verbal.
