Product Support Specialist
Vantaa, Finland

Thermo Fisher Scientific is currently recruiting a Product Support Specialist to join the support group based in Vantaa, Finland who will be responsible for the factory and field team/customer support of a platform used for clinical analysis.

As a Product Support Specialist you have a chance to work with technically advanced instruments in an innovative and international working environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Work independently as part of a Global Support team to support Clinical Analyzer and associated Assays and consumables.
  • Deliver operator training programs and product demonstrations
  • Perform installation and troubleshooting/escalation support of LC-MS/MS applications and hardware
  • Develop and maintain product support documentation and processes
  • Accurately document, analyze and report support activities
  • Timely handling of technical product support cases and complaint assessment
  • Cross training on-boarding program to service tasks including installation, repair, upgrades, and preventive maintenance as applicable based on previous experience
  • Willing to travel internationally, client-focused and customer centric as duties may include support and product training on customer sites and exhibitions

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience of liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry instrumentation, software and applications are essential
  • 2+ years’ professional experience and a degree in life sciences e.g., analytical chemistry, Microbiology
  • Experience in IVD industry customer support is preferred
  • Ability and mindset to quickly diagnose and resolve technical analytical problems in a challenging environment
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workload in an effective manner
  • English is essential while working knowledge of other languages e.g., Finnish, Swedish, French would be an advantage
