Product Specialist, Automation
Metso OutotecWe are now looking for a Product Specialist, Automation to a permanent position in Tampere.
Automation has a key role in future crushing and screening operations targeting to safe, efficient and environmentally friendly production. Automation, remote monitoring and related digital services will enable new ways to serve our customers better in the long term.
Your responsibility as a Product Specialist, Automation is to support implementation of the strategic plan to ensure competitiveness of automation and control systems on Metso Business Line products. You will report to Director, Automation. As a Product Specialist you will work together with the product management team to implement the automation and digital roadmap and help with automation related activities to support their business goals. You will prepare sales, marketing and training related documents to promote automation both internally and externally. Your target is to ensure that the automation offering is well-known by direct and distribution channels to increase customer satisfaction and build reputation of the Metso brand.
As a Product Specialist, your main tasks and responsibilities are:
Understand the market and customer needs; and consolidate them into action items on automation offering roadmap together with product management and technology teams
Provide high-level product support, technical expertise, and technical training for automation offering
Maintain automation development backlog with engineering to ensure development tasks have right prioritization and timing
Follow and analyze product performance indicators such as sales and quality data
Develop and keep sales and technical training materials as well as marketing materials up to date together with related teams
Drive new product releases and follow up products updates, and create related product bulletins to inform sales and services about upcoming changes
Host customer visits and give product presentations to customers, distributors and internal stakeholders
To Succeed
You have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Bachelor or Master degree in IT, Automation, Industrial Engineering or other relevant educational background
Experience in industrial automation or mobile machinery controls systems
Eagerness to learn new technologies, processes and tools
Good presentation skills, experience in training is an advantage
Proactive and systematic way of working and excellent skills in problem solving
Ability to evaluate technical solutions and build conclusions on facts and real findings in the area of control systems and digitalization
Knowledge of crushing and screening business and aggregates applications is an advantage
Fluent written and spoken English skills
