Product Owner, Software and Algorithms
Join our team at the forefront of X-ray innovations! We are seeking a Product Owner to guide the development of software and algorithms that enhance functionalities of our advanced detectors optimized for versatile X-ray imaging and analysis applications. This role is crucial for expanding our product offering and creating new business opportunities through novel machine learning techniques and sophisticated algorithms.
Your role
As a Product Owner, you will translate our strategic objectives into a comprehensive roadmap and a product portfolio that delivers significant value to our customers. Your collaboration with Product Managers will ensure that our software solutions will be seamlessly integrated with overall system architectures to meet specific customer requirements. Your leadership and agile skills will drive development of the products and platforms with powerful interfaces and utilization of the latest software and algorithms. Related applications shall focus on enhancing data analysis, image quality, and introducing intelligent features.
Responsibilities
Vision and strategy: Craft and articulate a clear vision for software and algorithm solutions for our products. Develop a roadmap that is aligned with the company goals, market needs and customer expectations.
Lifecycle management: Lead platform development from a concept to the utilization in products.
Stakeholder engagement: Serve as a key liaison among stakeholders including end-users, product managers, and R&D teams. Facilitate technical discussions and ensure business requirements are effectively translated into development objectives.
User experience: Champion user-centric design and usability. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the user interaction with our products.
Agile leadership: Define user stories and manage a product backlog. Guide the development process through agile methodologies and promoting simplicity and value creation.
What we expect
Proven experience in product management, particularly with software for industrial systems.
Strong understanding of user needs and skill in translating them into product requirements.
Technical expertise, especially in software development and data processing algorithms like machine learning and AI.
Experience with agile development environments; certification as a Product Owner or Scrum Master is preferred.
Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing both internal teams and external partners.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. No Finnish skills required.
Expected value of short- and long-term goals
1-6 months
Get familiar with DT (key persons, processes, products), markets and applications
Take "backlog" under your control, start active ownership of the ongoing cases
6-12 months
Plan next phases and align priorities of the ongoing cases
Develop and share competence on software and algorithms for DT’s specific applications
12-24 months
Steer the roadmap definition, contribute to the company strategy
Initialise new cases, lead the execution towards technical and commercial success
Location
This position is based either in Oulu or Espoo, Finland, with close collaboration with our global teams. The role reports to the Director of Product Management.
