Normet is on a strong growth path and thus strengthening their Offering Development team with a Product Line Director, Tunneling Portfolio.

In this position, you will get the opportunity to:


  • Formulate strategies for new tunnelling products / platforms.

  • Monitor the creation and development of new technology / products exclusively for tunnelling applications.

  • Learn to understands the needs of the tunnelling customer and provide direction to various key stakeholders during the product development process.

  • Create and maintain a ‘Normet Tunnelling Portfolio’ roadmap to

    • prioritise new product development

    • communicate future product direction

    • create consensus across key stakeholders

    • capture customer feedback.

  • Carry responsibility for product launches and implementation of all new tunnelling products.

  • Track product success and define needed actions to maximise sales and increase profitability.

  • Do competitor follow up, product positioning, and maintain market competitiveness.

  • Formulate pricing and cost targets.

  • Coordinate marketing, advertising and promotion planning strategy globally for Normet EQ.

  • Assist or run field trials, assist in the creation of documentation and sales arguments and be responsible for sales training and supporting organization development.



As a person well suited to this position, we expect the following qualities and capabilities:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in tunneling, with in-depth tunneling application knowledge

  • A desire, ability and attitude to develop new tunneling platforms and solutions on machines for harsh environments.

  • Education: B. Eng. or M. Sc. (Tech.) in relevant field

  • Positive Leadership, ability and willingness to lead by example

  • Can-do and results-driven attitude

  • Great team-working and self-management  skills


You are capable of working in English. You job locations will be both Normet headquarters in Espoo, and Normet Oy factory in Iisalmi, Finland. Remote working practices can be discussed.
