Product Developer, Helsinki

We are currently seeking an experienced product developer to fill a permanent position in Snacks – team. Would you be a perfect fit to our group of ambitious individuals, setting off for the next great Valio innovation?

You will be a part of the innovative team that is responsible for product development of dairy based snacking products to meet desired customer expectations. Your focus will be the development of new dairy based snacking products, therefore expertise in dairy technologies as well as previous experience in product development are highly appreciated. You will work closely with several project teams to execute product plans within agreed time schedule. Our project teams typically consist of specialists from R&D, Business Unit, Production and Procurement.

Requirements:

- MSc or appropriate degree in a relevant science area (dairy science and technology, food science)

- Experience in product development and/or dairy technologies 

- At least 3-5 years of food industry work experience in the areas of product/process development, ingredient/technology research, recipe and product formulation, specification development, analytical measurements, scale-up and commercialization 

- Eagerness for working in teams in different projects

- Customer-centric and solution-oriented mindset

- Adaptability, creativity and collaboration

- Ability and willingness to travel in Europe and US as well as production site trials in Finland 

- Fluent spoken and written Finnish and English
