As our office continues to grow we are now looking for a Procurement and a Tax Lawyer to join our team!
As a procurement lawyer at Bird & Bird you will have the opportunity to work on varied public procurement, EU law and other regulatory projects. Our Competition and EU law practice is fully integrated part of our international team, which offers our lawyers the opportunity to work together with their international colleagues. The Group's work covers a full range of competition and EU law services. The Group has been ranked as one of the top-tier service providers by legal directories. Your duties as a procurement lawyer include inter alia assisting our local and global clients e.g. in market court proceedings, public procurement and other regulatory matters.
We are looking for an Associate with 2-4 years' work experience gained from a business law firm, an in-house position, public sector or other relevant field. We expect you to have strong previous experience from procurement matters and that you are interested in developing yourself in this field. We are looking for team players who take the initiative and enjoy a fast-paced working environment. Our working environment requires fluency in Finnish and English.

As a tax lawyer at Bird & Bird you will have the opportunity to work on interesting and varied business tax advisory projects consisting e.g. of international, domestic and M&A tax related assignments with domestic and international clients. Our Tax group is fully integrated international team, with strong presence in the Nordic region. Within our Tax group you will have an excellent possibility to work in close co-operation with our other legal teams and, thus, broaden your understanding of taxation and its relation to other fields of law. Our Tax Group is featured as a leading tax advisor in several legal directories such as World Tax and World Transfer Pricing.
We are looking for an Associate with at least 2-4 years' experience from domestic and international tax assignments. We expect you to have previous work experience from a business law firm, tax administration, international audit or tax consultancy company or similar. For this position, we value good communication skills, eagerness to develop and a constant drive for excellence. Experience of VAT questions or personal income taxation is considered as an additional advantage. Our working environment requires fluency in Finnish and English.
