Process Engineer(s)

In Operations, we are passionate about driving operational excellence. As Process Engineer your primary task is continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to optimize process capability, product quality, productivity and profitability.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Analyze and develop EL display manufacturing processes in Beneq's display glass production (partially in cleanroom) to achieve set objectives
  • Continuous improvement of material and information flow in the display glass manufacturing
  • Improve manufacturing lead times, mistake proofing, yield/quality and productivity
  • Drive selected development projects in which you lead, train and coach the production operators
  • Support manufacturing teams on your responsibility area in running the daily operations and in daily problem solving
  • Represent manufacturing knowhow in development projects and co-operate with R&D, quality, manufacturing teams and other internal stakeholders
  • Monitor and develop key performance indicators for display glass production processes

We are looking for candidates with strong continuous improvement mindset, analytical problem-solving and process development skills. Also understanding of manufacturing processes and related equipment is necessary. You can form the “big picture”, identify case-relevant factors and self-prioritize your tasks. Persistence, strong hands-on and “can do” attitude help you to achieve the goals.

You need to be able to work both independently and as an active team member, sharing and developing ideas. You also need to co-operate, communicate and influence actively with different interest groups. You have MSc in Engineering or equivalent knowledge and minimum couple of years work experience in a relevant field. Preferably you have some previous experience of cleanroom production environment from thin-film coatings, lithography processes and/or other related supportive manufacturing processes/tooling.

To succeed in this position, you also have:

  • Knowledge of (Lean) Six Sigma methods (certification is a clear plus) and quality systems
  • Ability to communicate both in Finnish and English
  • Excellent capability in MS Office tools (Excel, Access) to collect and analyze process / product data and statistical trends & correlations.
  • Fluency in documenting e.g. work instructions and test results into written reports using modern IT tools.

In this position you’ll report to the Head of Operations. The location is in Espoo, Finland. Occasional traveling might be required.
