We are now looking for a Process Engineer, Pre-treatment processes to join our Refining team at UPM Biofuels Growth Program.

What you’ll do

• Develop novel technologies into commercial scale

• Use, create and develop process simulation tools to support engineering and operations in Biofuels development

• Provide technical know-how on pre-treatment technologies for residues

• Provide technical support for raw-material supply operations

• Organize demonstration scale operations

Who you are

We expect from you

• Education in relevant field (MSc. in Process, Chemical or Bioprocess engineering)

• Experience from using process simulation tools for steady state modelling (AspenTech)

• Experience from working with Biofuels feedstock pre-treatment processes

• Willingness for international assignment, in relation to new projects

• Teamwork and networking skills

• Good oral and written skills in Finnish and English

We consider as an advantage

• Experience in Process Engineering for Oil Refining/Chemical Industry

• Experience on technical purchase negotiations

• Experience from working for industrial projects

• Experience from using Dynamic simulation tools, such as Aspen HYSYS dynamics

• Experience from start-ups of commercial size plants

Additional information

This position is located in Kouvola. Also, UPM location in Lappeenranta is possible, but regular presence in Kouvola is essential.

You will be part of the Investment Project team and report to Santeri Forsten, Process Manager, Biofuels Growth.
