We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Process Engineer to join the Ametek’s team in Otaniemi, Espoo! As a Process Engineer, your main task is to support Ametek’s product and material development by carrying out research-oriented development of the production processes. You will also have a crucial role in improving the quality of production and documentation of the production processes. In this role, you collaborate closely with Ametek Finland's production team and VTT’s and Aalto University’s clean room staff.
Your key responsibilities:
Production engineering of radiation detectors, radiation windows, and other products of the Company
Working on varying product development projects
Designing of product and process experiments
Developing and executing the data collection systems of the production for quality control purposes and developing the production processes documentation
Identifying and communicating any issues and improvement opportunities related to production processes
Production work in the clean room
As a Process Engineer, you work in a team environment and in close collaboration with various stakeholders, so we expect you to have good communication and collaboration skills. Since your main goal is to develop Ametek’s production processes, you have a structured and independent way of working, with attention to detail. Master’s degree in engineering
Experience and education in materials science or a similar background
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools along with data gathering, manipulation, and analysis expertise
Fluent language skills English, both written and oral
We consider as an asset:
Experience with clean room processing
Experience in laboratory work and good manual dexterity
Finnish language skills
As part of the process, a substance test is mandatory. In addition, since the Amtek Inc. Espoo office is located in a building that is administered by VTT, all employees need to pass the Finnish Security Intelligence Service’s security screening.
