We are looking to hire a Process Development Engineer to improve and develop the element manufacturing processes of our MEMS products. The Process Development team is responsible for a wide range of activities including the development of process steps for new products, equipment investments including production ramp-up, and improving quality, yield and profitability of our manufacturing processes. You will play a vital role at Murata by helping us improve our capabilities and enabling the scaled manufacturing of new and existing products. We strongly promote cross-functional teamwork meaning you will be working intimately with a variety of teams including R&D, product quality, process quality and equipment control, as well as all levels of our manufacturing units.
We will provide you with a detailed orientation to familiarize you with our processes and products, as well as all the necessary tools to help get you to a successful start at Murata. We are willing to modify the role description and take your strengths and expectations into consideration. In order to succeed in this role you will need strong engineering, analytical and problem solving skills, an eye for innovation, and a knack for finding ways to improve process capabilities. We appreciate prior experience in plasma etching and other MEMS manufacturing processes .We prefer practical experience in project work in manufacturing environment
The key competencies required for this role are:
- Suitable engineering or science background ( B. Sc./M.Sc. in Material science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or other technical discipline)
- Systematic and analytical working style
- Data summary and management skills
- Project management/ coordination skills
- Effective personal task management and team player skills
- Good oral and written command of the English language
