Role? Pricing Manager joining the new Schibsted Nordic Marketplaces Jobs Strategy team to help us formulate innovative pricing and product/offer packaging approaches and drive growth and profitability across our jobs marketplaces in Finland, Norway, and Sweden.
Location? We work in a hybrid way so you can be based anywhere in Finland. If you like, our office is there for you just a few steps away from the Helsinki railway station and Tuesday is the day you find most of us there thanks to our afternoon buns tradition!

WHO ARE YOU?
Proven background in pricing, business strategy, or in business model development.
Ability to both work autonomously (e.g. in building analysis and financial impact estimates) and to collaborate cross-functionally to share knowledge and make things happen.
Experience or understanding digital marketplaces and business transformation is a plus!
Fluency in English (even on Monday mornings;-). Our official language is English and we gather people together from multiple backgrounds (memes in Spanish, Indian cooking recipes, database parodies, and dog videos circulate on our Slack channels!).
As a person, you combine a curious self-starter and analytical mind, with a collaborative spirit and will to combine and build knowledge by working together across teams. Here’s a motivated, development-oriented bunch of positive thinkers waiting for you to share the journey!
WHAT’S THE JOB LIKE?
As our Pricing Manager, you are part of the Nordic Marketplaces Jobs vertical, which gathers brands in the jobs marketplace (Oikotie.fi, Finn.no, and Blocket.se, with millions of job seekers every month!). More precisely, you are joining the Strategy team: your work is divided between leading strategic pricing and business development projects and tactical opportunities, making days varied, challenging, and fun! Your main focus is on designing, implementing, and iterating a value-based pricing strategy for Jobs Marketplaces to balance short- and long-term profitability. Your business acumen allows you to identify and execute short-term opportunities to ensure rapid financial gain, and prepare financial forecasts and business cases within initiatives related to pricing and packaging. You will collaborate with other functions, which is the cornerstone of making the strategies happen! For example, you work closely with Product, UX, Analytics, Sales and Finance to understand what drives customer value and conduct experiments analyzing different pricing scenarios and also have the necessary feedback loops back to understand what’s moving us forward. Lastly, you will also be an essential member of the Nordic Marketplaces pricing community where we share best practices and learn from each other across our different verticals (yes, we are a lot and we can talk more about it!)

You’ll be jumping into a moving train as we’re currently working on verticalizing Schibsted Nordic Marketplaces. Therefore, you’ll be the first Pricing Manager of the new vertical embracing Oikotie.fi, Finn.no, and Blocket.se and our current team is spread between Finland, Sweden, and Norway!
On the one hand, this changing environment would come with unsolved questions and needs to build new habits and boost the team spirit, on the other hand, this brings along a great opportunity to leave your fingerprint on long-term pricing and business strategies!
During your first six months, we expect you to settle into our team & community and start taking over your role. With our help (ofc!), we see you mapping the current stage of our pricing and detecting opportunities for financial gain while getting to know how our cross-functional teams work. We have already begun to work out together how we can optimize and harmonize our models through the Nordics, so no need to take your firefighting equipment out the day you join us!
Further down the road, you are fluent in your practices and participate in cross-functional projects to continuously innovate pricing approaches to take advantage of market opportunities, using qualitative and quantitative input to continuously experiment, test and learn (and we’re here to have your back!) What the future holds after that, let’s envision it together!
