What is the role and team like?

As a Platform Owner for shared infrastructure capacity for IAM services, your daily tasks will involve supporting DevOps teams utilizing the shared capacity and coordination of the operations of outsourced infrastructure partner. You are the owner of Security Domain shared environments and you represent infrastructure services for the development teams. You identify requirement coming from the DevOps teams for capacity services and develop the services to correspond the DevOps teams’ needs. As Platform Owner you follow the lifecycle of utilized resources, changing security requirements, OP policies, etc. and initiate proactively actions to keep the service production stable, secure and cost efficient. 

In this role, you will become a part of our Development & Technologies organization. You have a multitalented system team support you on the tasks and you act as a matrix leader for the team. System team owns the release coordination, quality assurance and production release acceptance for the deployment pipeline. You will have an opportunity to utilize your existing DevOps knowledge to transform the operating model towards more DevOps team independent CI/CD pipeline. You are a key catalyst for enabling the transformation. Your future team is mostly located in Helsinki but from our point of view, you can be located in Helsinki or Oulu.


Your daily work will consist of participating to different operative meetings, contributing to the monitoring of operations, executing release control process, coordinating our partners’ installation resources and making sure the infrastructure resources are optimized. In your role you will also be monitoring new releases and making acceptances from our side. These releases are typically executed at night, so we wish you to be able to participate to this release monitoring at night bi-monthly.


What we hope from you?


To thrive in this role and this kind of environment, we think you should have following kind of previous experience:
•    Deep understanding of capacity services. 
•    Good understanding of requirements set by DevOps for the capacity services and modern SW development processes. 
•    Good understanding of ICT service delivery in practice and theory.
•    Vendor coordination skills on operational level.
•    Implementing a change on culture, mindset and practices of a capacity services.
•    Excellent communication, documentation and visualization skills. Fluency in English is a must, Finnish skills are an advantage.


Besides above mentioned topics, we also value previous experience from working with external IAM services for portal & mobile app solutions, leading a team for collective targets, hands-on experience with CD automation & managing containerized workloads and services (Docker, Kubernetes) and being a part of enterprise size IT organization.
