Phase1 is Orion's paid trainee program for university and university of applied sciences students. During the summer you get inspiring tasks and get to know other trainees on events and connect with other Orionees via mentoring.
Orion's Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADC) research unit is looking for a highly motivated student with good background in cell biology to work as a Phase1 R&D-trainee during summer of 2021. You will support early stage drug discovery as a part of a unit focusing on target identification, validation and mechanism of action studies. You will do hands-on laboratory work such as cell culture and related assays as well as participate in daily laboratory maintenance under supervision of a scientist and experienced research assistants. You do not necessarily need Finnish for this task.
Description of the unit
Newly established Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADC) unit is one of three Research units in Orion's Oncology R&D. ADC unit is accountable for novel drug discovery projects, identification and validation of potential ADC drug targets with state-of-the-art laboratories and technologies.

A successful applicant has hands-on experience of laboratory work and previous experience in working in a cell culture laboratory. Additionally we expect that you have completed at least 3 years of university studies in the field of health sciences (for example cell biology, molecular biology or biochemistry). You are a highly motivated and accurate professional with good communication skills in English and ability to interact in collaborative work environment.
