Description of the position
Your main responsibility is to develop and perform micro scale dissolution and flux studies for research compounds and formulations. You will utilize in situ fiber optic technique in your studies. A prominent part of your daily duties will be laboratory work including the analytical tasks as well as the tasks related to daily laboratory maintenance. In addition, you will review results, summarize and make conclusions of the studies together with your team colleagues. You will also have opportunity to familiarize yourself with different analytical techniques like UHPLC and different dissolution techniques other than micro dissolution. This role is based in Turku.
Description of the unit
Biopharmaceutics and Chemical Analytics unit consists of analytical and formulation scientists. We work in research projects for which we develop non-clinical formulations, biopharmaceutical tools and understanding of in-vivo absorption of drug substances. We develop analytical and dissolution methods to support the reasearch phase studies as well as drug product development for clinical trials. Biopharmaceutics and Chemical Analytics unit is a part of the Pharmaceutical Sciences in Orion R&D.

Requirements
- Studies in chemistry, biochemistry or pharmacy.
- Experience of chemical analytics in laboratory settings.
- Knowledge of spectrophotometric and (U)HPLC techniques.
- Ability and commitment to work in laboratory.
