We are now looking for Payables Controller to join our team in Tampere, Finland.

UPM Financial Services is a customer service oriented global function providing financial expertise for all UPM businesses and functions. What you’ll do

  • You will deliver and report Purchase to Pay services including all its subprocesses such as purchase invoice handling, payments, GR/IR monitoring and Travel & Expense claim handling.
  • You will manage and guide daily our outsourcing partner, handle escalated issues and inquiries and take relevant improvement actions.
  • You will proactively identify and implement development items and projects in the designated business or other responsibility areas.
  • You will give proactive input to PTP processes and tools development projects.
  • You will ensure compliance with defined internal controls as well as with business policies and legal requirements in PTP area.
  • You will communicate proactively and co-operate actively in your own responsibility area and with other organizations and stakeholders.


Who you are

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in finance or related area.
  • You have at least 2 years of work experience in accounting and reporting tasks.
  • You are Fluent in English, other language skills may be required depending on the business area/subteam.
  • You have an analytical mindset.
  • You have an organized and controlled way of working, capability to ensure compliance to internal and external requirements and identify risks in your own area.
  • You have collaboration and team-working skills with flexible and positive attitude towards changing environment..
  • You are able to take care of development implementation in your own responsibility area.
  • You have self-leadership skills and are not afraid to take initiative.
