The People & Culture Business Partner is a leadership role. It has the mindset of a business leader and an entrepreneur. Your primary focus will be your membership of the Roche Finland Leadership Teams (Pharmaceuticals & Diagnostics), but you will also work flexibly across multiple business areas and People & Culture chapters (P&C : our former HR) as part of a network of countries. Collaborating closely with others to understand long term business needs and strategic P&C priorities, you will translate those strategies into actionable plans and support with fit-for-purpose implementation drawing upon a network of expertise.
You will lead and drive change initiatives, guiding people streams and flexible squads to embed and implement the overall P&C strategies for your primary business. You can also support flexible squads or initiatives in other parts of the business and network, based on our overall priorities. Accountable as a trusted strategic partner and coach for fostering agile leadership, you will advance organizational design and effectiveness, support in building a diverse and inclusive work culture, and secure future talent and capabilities.
In addition, your responsibilities include:
Being a credible leader as part of the Roche Finland Leadership Teams;
Being the P&C legal representative for the Roche Finland Affiliates;
Translate the business vision, mission, and strategy along with Roche’s 10 year ambitions and P&C Aspirational Goals into initiatives that embrace agile methodologies;
Recommend business practices/work process improvements to identify opportunities for leveraging human capital;
Diagnose P&C needs and identify interventions that address issues of talent management, , retention, change leadership, employee engagement, and leadership development;
Influence, develop, mentor and provide agile leadership to networks and squads in partnership with Advisory Business Partners;
Diagnose root causes of work environment issues, disruptive team dynamics and ineffective organizational setups. Based on your analysis you will initiate interventions and shape solutions in collaboration and co-creation with key stakeholders across the organization;
Maintain broad-based knowledge of the organization and it’s operation
Gather and analyze internal and external data to make critical decisions. Share your insights with leaders and recommend innovative solutions;
Use your knowledge of business and P&C insights, metrics, expertise, and decision principles to effectively diagnose topics with a wide range of complexity.

Demonstrated ability to navigate a network, leverage different Chapters for business impact and form squads to deliver on business and P&C strategies
Demonstrated ability and experience in effectively diagnosing mid to long-term P&C needs, Influencing skills with courageous authenticity and build trust with individuals at all levels within the organization
Passion and ability to leverage digital tools for collaboration, co-creation and sharing. You know how to leverage technology to generate insights for diagnosis, recommendations and decisions.
