Operational Planning Manager

About the Unit

Yara Suomi Oy has been manufacturing fertilizers for almost 100 years in Finland. We are part of the pure and safe Finnish food chain, where food is produced efficiently and sustainably.

Yara Uusikaupunki Plant produces NPK fertilizers and nitric acid for domestic needs and export. We employ about 260 Yara professionals. We are stable employer focusing on sustainability. We offer challenging and rewarding tasks.

Yara Siilinjärvi unit produces fertilizers and phosphoric acid. We also have the only active phosphate mine in Western-Europe. Siilinjärvi unit employs about 400 Yara professionals.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for production planning in Uusikaupunki and Siilinjärvi
• Balancing of all material flows internally and between the Finnish production sites
• P-acid and N-acid balance and transfers between Uusikaupunki and Siilinjärvi
• Continuous improving the planning process and system support tools
• Key contact person towards other operational department and central planning

Profile

• Good understanding of the fertilizer production process
• Curious to develop new practices of working and new advanced planning tools
• Good mathematical skills
• Ability to translate planning and optimization theory into practice
• Team player with excellent cooperation skills both locally and globally
• Fluent in English, sufficient in Finnish
• Enthusiastic in working in an operational environment with strict requirements for quality and deadlines
