Business Finland is now looking for a full time, fixed-term (10 months) Operational Excellence Trainee with a hands-on attitude and proactive mindset. Working in the team for Business Finland’s Strategic Priority Area “Operationally Excellent and Agile Organisation” offers you an excellent chance to start your career and work closely with Business Finland’s strategy implementation.
Instruction:
Business Finland has defined five strategic priority areas where we need to take development leaps to fulfill our strategy. Each strategic priority area includes projects and other development activities. As Operational Excellence Trainee you will be working in a team that is steering and implementing development activities in the Strategic Priority Area “Operationally Excellent and Agile Organisation”. This strategic priority area is a horizontal activity covering and having impact on the entire organization. You will participate in the implementation of the development projects in this strategic priority area and contribute to the coordination and communication activities.
Your role

In this position, your job tasks include the following:
Project work: participation in the specified development projects
Information gathering and analysis for development projects’ needs
Diverse communications tasks: content creation both for internal and external use, for example presentation materials and reports
Supporting Strategic Priority Area coordination (reporting, communication, annual planning) project managers (e.g. in public procurement) and external service providers
What we expect from you:
Relevant educational background from university or university of applied sciences (e.g. social sciences, marketing, finance, economics)
Previous experience in information gathering and analysis and project work
Analytical mindset to be able to contribute to the development project
Good social skills and also the ability to work independently: you feel at ease in an international and fast-moving environment
Fluent communication skills in Finnish and in English
Good skills in the Office 365 environment
You are a persistent person who gets excited and shows passion for what you do. You are a self-guided person who helps others and listens to colleagues. You have a “can-and-will-do” attitude, thrive on challenges, and are not afraid of tackling problems. Good organization skills, curiosity, and eagerness to solve problems and a pinch of social intelligence will get you a long way with us.
