Omnichannel Merchandising Manager
Marimekko OyjAs the Omnichannel Merchandising Manager for Finland, you will be responsible for creating consumer-centric store assortments and securing optimal product flow into Marimekko stores and e-commerce. You will support wholesale channel in assortment planning and product flow. You will work in close collaboration with colleagues from all sales channels, marketing, and global merchandising teams as well as with store managers to drive omnichannel sales growth together. To succeed in the position, you should have experience from retail buying and planning as well as good product knowledge and passion for fashion and/or home products. Strong analytical skills will be a must to provide actionable business insights from data across different channels to drive sales.
In this full-time and permanent key position, you will report to the Head of Market Area Finland and be located at Marimekko´s office in Helsinki, Finland where we apply hybrid working policy.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Define relevant assortment for the Finnish home markets
- Making the seasonal buys for fashion, bags and accessories and/or home collections based on the commercial/marketing plan for stores and e-commerce.
- Supporting wholesale channel in assortment planning and seasonal product estimation
- Managing continuing collection assortment and replenishment including the automatic replenishment system
- Following and analyzing product performance and taking actions to improve sales, margin, sell-through and inventory turn
- Partnering with stores and store managers and visiting stores to collect feedback and execute actions
- Responsible for optimizing assortment per store, leading the work with planning and distribution of floor space by store
- Securing product supply for campaigns and activities in cooperation with marketing and sales teams
- Planning and executing product exit strategy (e.g. mark downs, mid-season and end-of-season sale pricing, returns etc.)
To be able to take our omnichannel merchandise planning to the next level, you need:
- Minimum of 4 years professional experience in a similar retail buying/planning position
- A relevant university degree minimum Bachelor level (or similar)
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Development and a positive can-do mindset
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Proactive and solution-oriented working style with strong organizing and time management skills
- Extensive experience in MS Office tools, especially in Excel, experience in replenishment/allocation/forecasting systems is considered as an advantage
- Fluency in Finnish and English
- Experience from fashion industry is considered an advantage
