We are now looking for a Nordic HR Generalist for Smiths Group to manage HR functions in the Nordics for John Crane. This Job is located to Muurame, but requires travelling abroad to support Smiths Group entities in Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway.
Purpose of the job You are working as a business partner and Nordic HR manager in Muurame and report directly to the EMEA HR Operations Director. You are responsible of the implementation of HR-strategy and -policy in your area, Nordics. You provide support and guidance to both employees and Directors related to HR policies and practices and you are the Nordic subject matter expert with respect to employment legislation and labor/union relations. Part of the job is providing day-to-day support addressing HR related queries.
-Degree in Human Resources Preferred
-Minimum 5 years of expertise in HR generalist role on industrial or technical areas.
-Demonstrated working knowledge of employment legislation and labor/union relations, including an experience of collective agreements. We highly appreciate Nordic or other international knowledge.
-Ability to travel abroad (Nordics, Northern-Europe (30-40 days/year)
-Fluent Finnish and English is required, Swedish is an advantage
-Understanding of different cultures and willingness to learn more.
-Able to effectively communicate and coach employees and managers on HR policies and practices as well as provide functional guidance and support to the management with respect to sensitive or career oriented employee decisions.
-Capability to work with multiple tasks at the same time in wide range of different tasks and projects -Excellent interpersonal skills with an approachable and trustworthy nature.
-Ability to manage expectation and priorities with a high level of autonomy.
-Knowledgeable and efficient in the use of HR business systems available to support employee master data management, staffing, training, compensation, health and wellness, performance management, etc.
-Ability to work in a multinational company that has high quality standards as well as in business as in HR.
