  We are recruiting a Mep Manager for our international client in Hamina.

Candidate Profile 
The ideal candidate will have a professional, pro active approach. You will be an effective
communicator and have experience in negotiating, both internally and externally with customers. This
role would suit a candidate with an organised and methodical nature who is happy to work individually
and as part of the wider project team and who has good construction process knowledge, specializing
in MEP Services Delivery.

Main Purpose of the Job 
Delivery of multiple MEP services on a large Data Centre Project from inception to pre-construction to
procurement and ultimately through to completion.

• To take full responsibility for multiple project deliveries with varying values.
• To support the Pre-Construction team in reviewing & pricing projects.
• To review design, identify problems and offer solutions where applicable.
• To suggest trade contractors, systems and manufacturers for team appraisal.
• To review IFC design and shop drawings, the project schedule and contribute where required.
• To set up a project & run from start to completion in line with processes & core values.
• Engagement of project supply chain (with commercial management support).
• To offer high level strategic thinking at project level & take on responsibility for project P&L
• To actively promote Special Projects philosophy and culture.
• To produce precise and succinct project reports for Campus Lead & Client.
• To take responsibility for strategic control of the project schedule.
• Day to Day management of project supply chain.
• To take a lead role in the presentation of the project to the client.
• To offer buildability advice and value engineering solutions.
• Thorough understanding of MEP systems.
• Promote and implement Zero Defects Initiative.
• To implement Best Practice Manual.
• To update existing (or new where required) drawings & O&M / Technical Literature.

• Good IT Skills (knowledge of MS Office apps, & Google G-Doc systems required)
• Schedule planning knowledge an advantage (Asta Powerproject, Smartsheets etc.).

• Recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering. Electrical also an advantage.
• Recognised Tukes S2 Electrical Supervisor Category minimum qualification and advantage
• Schedule planning knowledge an advantage (Asta Powerproject, Smartsheets etc.).

• Industry experience. Track record of successful MEP project delivery.
• Good sound knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Commissioning processes;
• In-depth knowledge of the construction process, preferably large engineering projects
• Ability to deliver all disciplines of construction, not just MEP Services
• Understands the pre-construction process.
• Can organise and manage the design and procurement phases of a project.
• Has a good political and commercial awareness.
• Able to collate information from his team to prepare and present the project report.
• Experience of working for Main Contractor and Sub Contractors in the past.
