We are looking for MEMS Packaging Design Engineer to develop semiconductor packages for our MEMS sensor components. You are responsible for research, design and development of housings for MEMS elements and ASICs covering end user requirements, prototype testing, characterization and analysis, and design validation. You work in a central position within product development project teams, collaborating closely with MEMS, ASIC and lead engineers, test laboratories, component platform specialist and customer interface. Younger applicants will work under close guidance and in co-operation with Sr. Design Engineer(s), until technical knowledge level permits individual work.


This position requires a suitable engineering or science background (M.Sc., Ph.D. or D.Sc.) in e.g. physics, materials technology, electronics or metrology. You have basic understanding of semi-conductor industry practices, physical and materials phenomena and you want to develop yourself as a technology specialist. Experience on the following areas is an advantage (Murata educates if not): analysis methods (SEM, XPS etc.), MEMS technology, FEM, SolidWorks, or statistical methods. Working within global business landscape and Murata environment, you need fluency in communicating and documenting your work in English.

You have interest in deep technical challenges, have willingness to learn, are persistent on multi-year topics and have motivation to work with wide variety of technical challenges.
