Eaton's R&D organization in Espoo has an opening for a Mechanical Design Engineer. Eaton's activities in Espoo are centered around our UPS business, and as part of the team you will make, innovate, document and test mechanical designs of UPS systems and accessories. The organization in Espoo serves as a center of excellence for Eaton's large 3-phase UPS business for the entire EMEA -region. Working as part of our world class Engineering Team in Espoo you will be surrounded by experienced colleagues who will help you develop your skills and know-how.

Your key deliverables :

  • You will design mechanical construction of new UPS products
  • You will assume material design responsibility and surface treatment selection
  • You will develop documenting related to mechanical, harness and assembly (BOM) design
  • You will assume responsibility for appropriate testing and evaluation of products, parts, equipment, tools, and systems along with necessary corrective follow-up
  • You will analyse and solve product issues
  • You will give technical support on UPS systems to product management, technical support and sales

Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in 3D CAD software (Creo Parametric desired)
  • Good verbal and written communications in English.
  • Ability to work in a project team and manage multiple personal tasks independently.
