Senior Material Planner

Job description

Valmet Automotive is strengthening Supply Chain Management, Engineering team in Uusikaupunki.

Your task is to lead the efficient flow of materials which are required to supply the products to the customer. You will manage all aspects of production material support on a large and complex program together with having an expert role in material planning and control. You will act as an interface with supply chain suppliers for negotiation and supplier integration, and also exception and deviation management in order to ensure materials availability. Your task is to define and continuously review optimal order quantity, identify costs and criticality analyse of material availability.


We expect you to have

  • Suitable educational background. e.g. BSc in logistics or technology
  • Professional experience in material planning, inventory control, production planning, sourcing
  • Understanding of freight movements, demand/supply analysis, order handling, utilization of material control tools and systems
  • Skills in negotiations, budgeting, cost control
  • Interpersonal skills and relation management
  • Strong  partner management skills and performance orientation
  • Ability to see the big picture and make decisions accordingly
  • Excellent skills in Finnish and in English
  • Strong MS Office skills
