Master’s thesis project/job opportunity, Additive Manufacturing

Etteplan is Finland's leading industrial 3D printing design company and we are now looking for new talents and offering a Master’s thesis project and a job opportunity. Our Additive Manufacturing  team will train you as an Additive Manufacturing (AM) junior designer. The position is fixed-term with a possibility for permanent employment after summer.

Etteplan develops methods in simulation driven design to be used in optimizing parts made by additive manufacturing or conventional manufacturing methods. As the use of mathematical software/programming languages ​​in mechanics problem solving is increasing, the engineers for the future need to know how to take advantage of software’s and their capabilities in designs. 

We are looking for a talent with engineering and some coding experience to apply for this position.

To be selected, you need the following skills:

• You are finalizing your studies in machine design or strength calculations

• Mathcad, Matlab experience

• Basic coding/softwares understanding, some of these (python, C++, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Angular, SQL, git)

We appreciate:

• Enthusiasm to learn new things

• Understanding AM design information related to metals and plastics (DFAM Metals)

• Knowledge of design programs

• Include a one-page presentation describing the characteristics of the application, as well as Necessary manufacturing documentation for part production.
