With us you will be responsible for

As a marketing manager you are responsible for leading strategic marketing planning and activities for Solutions of Natural Resources and Environment business area and for certain ecosystems and cross-unit efforts. This includes developing, planning and executing marketing activities, creation of customer challenge driven narratives and value propositions as well as creating successful digital marketing campaigns and events. The role includes also steering of external partner network as well as optimizing the customer engagement and digital customer experience. You will be part of Marketing and Communications organization and will be working closely with Communications and Brand and Digital Marketing teams as well as Sales, Business area management team, researchers and other marketing managers at VTT.

Your main responsibility areas will be:

  • Develop, plan and execute marketing activities
  • Create customer challenge driven narratives and value propositions
  • Create successful digital marketing campaigns and events for lead generation
  • Act as consultant in marketing decisions for internal and external stakeholders
  • Execute data-led decision making in the responsibility area
  • Translate scientific and technological excellence into customer value
  • Implement modern marketing tools, social media and interactive on-line marketing
  • Create one VTT experience and approach together with different internal stakeholders

We expect you to have

  • At least 5 years of experience from B2B marketing
  • Master's degree in marketing or other relevant field
  • Excellent presentation and networking skills
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Finnish
  • Track record in developing and implementing visionary marketing
  • Track record in creating digital and other campaigns for lead generation
  • Experience in storytelling and the production of marketing communications materials, both digital and possibly printed
  • Ability to quickly pivot and reprioritize when necessary
  • Inspiring, solution oriented, professional, accessible and a growth mind-set
  • Ability to lead and implement change and work closely with different internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to travel in Finland, possibly elsewhere
