Manufacturing Laboratory Technician / Laborantti

We are now seeking a Manufacturing Laboratory Technician / Laborantti to join our Operations organization for microbiology business in Vantaa, Finland. The essential responsibility of this role is to conduct the QC procedures for instrument accessories as specified in related manufacturing documentation and specifications. The person selected for this position also manufactures and assembles the liquid chromatography material, monitors the demand and adjusts the manufacturing volumes accordingly. This is a role with versatile responsibilities and enables the selected person to get familiar with many areas of expertise.

Key responsibilities:

  • Performing the Quality control procedures of instrument accessories (including reagent preparation, using in-house built QC instrumentation, performing LC-MS analysis and protein/reagent dispensing with Multidrop Combi according to specifications
  • Assembling and testing liquid chromatography material according to instructions (containing hands-on laboratory work)
  • Controlling inventory level of needed chemicals and materials to ensure material availability
  • Monitoring demand to balance the manufacturing volume together with manager
  • Recording defects and forwarding them further to be resolved


Experience / Qualification:

  • Three years of work experience in laboratory environment
  • Laboratory technician/ B.Sc. level degree or similar in biosciences (e.g. chemistry, biochemistry) or related field
  • Ability to understand and conduct working according to work instructions
  • Understanding of quality systems requirements and the demands of regulated working environment
  • Fluent spoken and written Finnish and good spoken and written English
  • Proven ability to learn and adopt new techniques quickly
  • Proven skills in good co-operation and flexibility in changing situations
  • Ability to work independently, accurately and diligent
  • Practical experience and/or knowledge in polymer chemistry is beneficial
  • PC literacy including MS Office
  • Experience in PDM and ERP systems


Additionally we value:

  • Knowledge of FDA/In Vitro regulated diagnostic products manufacturing and related authority requirements
  • Experience in use of PDM and/or ERP system
