Valmet’s Global Financial Operations is seeking a people-oriented leader who has the ability to continuously identify improvement areas, see the forest from the trees and maintain a positive and target-driven working atmosphere. The position is temporary until 31.3.2024.
You will be leading a team focusing on Vendor Invoice Management development globally. The team is responsible for identifying and driving continuous improvements and harmonization of processes, tools and ways of working in our global and cross-business environment. Trouble-shooting and issue resolution as well as testing and training are also a part of the responsibility area.
An essential part of your role will be to implement our new GFO governance model, driving continuous development and ensuring the teams’ competence development. You will also be leading your team through an ERP renewal in Valmet.

Responsibilities:
Ownership of Vendor Invoice Management related processes’ development and support, including continuous improvement, testing, quality, compliance, controls and training globally.
Leading a team of accounting professionals focusing on process and solution development. Ensuring that a high level of expertise is in place both short and long term.
Identifying and understanding requirements, gaps and opportunities in processes, solutions and ways to operate. Effectively conducting implementation and change management of such developments.
Providing expertise and advice on process issues to stakeholders.
Responsible for transition period interim process definitions and needed instructions in own area (Leap Forward program).
Close collaboration with Supply Chain, Business Finance, IT and other stakeholders to ensure continuous process and solution development in the end to end process chain.
Creating and developing a network of stakeholders and experts in own area to ensure global support to end-users.
Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Finance or equivalent
Leadership track record gained in finance positions is an advantage
Experience of developing and managing processes, tools and organizations preferably in a publicly listed international company
Excellent understanding of Purchase to Pay (P2P) end to end process chain and linkages to other processes
Excellent presentation, communication and networking skills with ability to deliver complex messages in an effective way to stakeholders
Fluency in English both in written and verbal, competence in other languages is an advantage
Ability to work well under pressure, focus on essentials and prioritize
Experience in coaching and developing team competencies and acting as a change agent
Willingness to roll up your sleeves, work across team and function boundaries and influence actions to reach targets
