Your role  

The Fortum Strategy team is responsible for the group strategy, designing growth strategies, leading and supporting various strategic initiatives and finding opportunities to operate more efficiently. We are now looking for a Manager, Strategy and Open Leadership, to join the strategy team. The location can be any of our main countries, but for practical reasons the head office in Espoo, Finland or the offices in Stockholm or Oslo are the preferred locations.

In this role you will both work in and lead projects of strategic importance for Fortum and/or within a division, delivering analysis and material to be used in strategy definition and decision making. You will identify and solve complex business problems and develop business cases and modeling. You will also integrate inputs from a number of individuals and units/functions, create alignment on end products and interact closely with senior management, strategy or business development and other units within divisions.

Around half of your time will be dedicated to lead Fortum's Open Leadership Must Win Battle. Working closely together with Fortum’s People function and a sparring team with persons from around the organisation, you will drive forward identified focus areas such as improving employee experience, increasing business understanding and developing leadership skills.

Your qualifications 

As a person you have high ambition and drive, solid business-relevant financial and numerical analysis skills as well as a keen sense of quality and attention to detail. You have strong collaboration skills, ability to quickly learn and understand, as well as ability for conceptual thinking and structuring complex processes. You also have the ability to make high impact presentations.

You have an academic degree in engineering and/or finance/economics with excellent academic performance and at least 5 years of working experience. Experience from investment banking or management consulting is a plus, but not a pre-requisite.

Fluent English is a must and skills in any of the other languages of Fortum’s operating countries is a plus.
