We are looking for a Manager/Senior Manager, Investments & Operations Development, for a permanent position to join our Operations Development team. This is a prominent position where you will take on responsibilities ranging from investment process management to specific development projects. You will play a key role in the long-term development of our mills and work closely with the mill management teams. Preferred location of this position is Tampere. Helsinki and any Timber mill location in Finland can be taken into consideration.

What you’ll do
Manage UPM Timber’s investment pipeline and process
Develop coherent UPM Timber investment practices and mill collaboration
Identify operative development potential and initiatives
Drive operative development projects together with key stakeholders
In collaboration with mills, develop production efficiency and harmonized best practices
Develop our technology and machinery supplier network
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience from mill, process or investment development
You have significant exposure to mechanical forest industry, ideally sawmilling
You have a relevant Master’s degree
You are a good communicator with and you are fluent both in Finnish and English
You are a motivated person who works well in a team setting and you have a willingness to develop
You have solid IT skills and ability to use modern tools
You are willing to travel
