The Wood Handling Technology Unit (WHL TU) develops, sells and delivers wood handling lines and equipment to global pulp and paper customers.
We are looking for a Manager, Projects for Wood Handling technology unit to lead project execution in our growing business. In this role you will manage our global project portfolio ensuring financial targets are met, contract obligations are fulfilled, and customer expectations are met. Developing the project execution process, and enforcing financial mindset also belong to your tasks. This is done together with a team of experienced project management professionals.
You will be leading, coaching and developing a team of project managers, located in Ulvila Finland. Global projects are also often managed together with local project organization. Supporting project managers where necessary and supporting sales in contract preparation and negotiations are also part of your work. Additionally, you will manage delivery projects as a project manager, ensuring high quality project execution in timely manner and with a predictable financial result.
In this position you will report to the Head of Wood Handling technology unit. As member of the WHL TU management team you will have the possibility to directly influence our business and strategy.
Characteristics, skills and experience that we are looking for:
BSc. or MSc. in relevant field of study (e.g. engineering).
pro-active leader with good people management skills, interest in team development, and the ability to drive change.
experience in project management of large industrial projects with strong track record and ability to maintain good customer relations.
relevant line management experience is preferred.
financial mindset and contract management skills.
knowledge of pulp and paper industry is an advantage.
fluency in English is a must. Finnish is preferred, and any other language skills are also an asset.
readiness to travel in Finland and internationally.
