We are looking for an experienced Industrial Hygienist to join the Corporate Sustainability team. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring that legal requirements for industrial hygiene and work place safety are globally followed. As a key expert in your own specialist area you will develop concepts, processes and tools for One Fortum approach in industrial hygiene and ensure their implementation. In the area of EHS you will work together with the Corporate EHS Manager to execute oversight and monitor implementation of Group-level EHS concepts, instructions and tools.
Your role will also include performance assessment and contribution to continuous improvement, as well as target-setting in your responsibility area. You will be working in close contact with Fortum Occupational Health Care, divisional and business area management, divisional production and sustainability/EHS experts, Corporate EHS Manager and with other members of the Corporate Sustainability team. You will be reporting to Vice President, Sustainability.
As a Manager, Industrial Hygiene and EHS your work will include regular visits to Fortum operating countries and power plants with approximately 50 days of annual business travelling.

You have a M.Sc. degree in chemistry, engineering or environmental sciences and a minimum working experience of 7 years in a relevant industry. We also expect you to have a proven track record of successful management of industrial hygiene. You have multiyear personal leadership experience in working with multinational teams also outside the Nordic region. Cooperation with authorities is natural for you. Further, working experience from abroad, again outside the Nordic region, as well as robust operational experience (more than 3 years) in e.g. operations, maintenance, or construction/demolition is an asset.
You are fluent in written and oral English. Russian language skill is an asset.
