Manager, Global Planning

We are now looking for Manager, Global Planning to Metso Outotec Aggregates (“AGG”) business area to join our Global Planning team. This position is located in Tampere, Finland. You will report to Director, Strategy & Global Planning.

Manager, Global Planning will lead the Supply Planning process for all AGG BA products together with the plant planning functions. The role is responsible for owning the production and inventory plans in the AGG BA operations which is critical to supporting sales, distributors and customers globally. The role is a key stakeholder in Global S&OP and capacity utilization decisions for AGG BA.

As Manager, Global Planning you will:

• Maintain and develop global production master plan for all products and all production sites together with plant planning personnel.
• Develop, implement, and maintain an effective capacity and production planning process by balancing plant utilization and inventory while delivering superior customer service.
• Lead Supply Planning improvement initiatives and proactively adjust production plans and availability of machines to improve efficiency and longer-term planning
• Identify supply risks and develop mitigation plans and recommendations for corrective actions to secure supply and service levels.
• Identify and communicate constraints that may impact the achievement of the business demand.
• Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach to obtain and align on accurate information for supply planning.
• Develop demand/supply gap assessment and provide required inputs to business teams.
• Own and manage the Supply Planning tools and provide inputs to continuously improve their performance.
• Prepare and maintain relevant reports on supply planning – production plans, production adherence reports, and inventory quality tracking
• Lead weekly/monthly supply reviews and actively participate in the global S&OP process and planning reviews with plants.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance to the current planning system continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide guidance to SAP Supply Planning for current and future systems

To succeed

To succeed in this role, we expect you to have a suitable educational background, e.g. B.Sc or M.Sc. in Engineering or Business. You already have minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in supply chain or business process development roles and deep understanding of SAP (especially PP module) other planning tools. You have experience in production and/or inventory planning and S&OP processes with proven track record.

We expect you to have advanced skills in Excel and experience in Power BI. You are a determined and self-driven person with curious mind, strong analysis and teamwork capabilities. You have a systematic and continuous improvement mindset. Your collaboration and communication skills are excellent and you are fluent in English, Finnish language is an advantage. You also have ability to travel occasionally.
