Manager, Global Logistics
ValmetValmet’s Flow Control business line is one of the leading providers of mission-critical flow control solutions and services for process industries. We employ about 2,850 people in approximately 40 countries. With our global team of experts and innovative solutions, we help our customers to improve their process performance and ensure the safe flow of materials.
In this position you will lead and develop Valmet Flow Control Business line’s logistics processes, systems and governance practices.
You will be responsible for sustainable transportation chain selections as well as finding right balance between reliable door-to-door transportation lead times and cost. You will also be a key decision maker and problem solver in regular business critical shipments. You will act as a Main User for Valmet’s Transport Management System (NTG), support the Flow Control business line users, and promote digitalization, process development and automation.
Your key stakeholders will be external suppliers, international logistics services providers (LSPs), Valmet’s own factories and other stakeholders. You will be a member of Valmet group level logistics management team as well as Business line level Global procurement management team.
The position can be located for example in Finland, China, India or Germany, other Flow Control locations can also be considered.
Our expectations for you
To succeed in this position, you should have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in e.g. Engineering or Business. We expect 5-10 years of business experience and working in an international environment.
Our operating environment is dynamic and fast-paced and thus, you will benefit from good organizing skills and the ability to solve problems quickly. Fluent written and spoken communication in English is required. Other language skills are an advantage in this position.
You should be a quick learner when it comes to IT systems, and you are familiar with the basic tools such as MS Office and ERP. Knowledge of TMS (Transportation Management System) is an advantage.
