Manager, Digital Technology Scouting
Innovation & Venturing Services unit ensures Fortum’s renewal through strategic insight of new technologies, high-performance internal and external venturing and piloting new opportunities. The unit is also responsible of IP strategy and patenting and cooperation with universities and research institutions on behalf of the whole corporate.
We are looking for Manager, Digital Technology Scouting & Piloting to join Innovation & New Technologies team in Innovation & Venturing Services unit. As a Manager, Digital Technology Scouting & Piloting, you will be responsible of scouting the latest promising new technologies and solutions, executing technology, market & business analysis and leading pilot projects to accelerate new business opportunities with digital technologies. You will interact closely with Divisions and Functions at Fortum as well as working within Business Technology to ensure the use of best digital technologies in all digitalization projects. You will be leading a small team of specialists in your responsibility area.
In addition to your main role, you will contribute to other activities of Innovation & New Technologies team such as start-up scouting. You will be based in Keilalahti, Espoo (Finland) or in Solna, Stockholm (Sweden).

You have an analytical mindset and ability to absorb large amounts of complex information, as well as to draw clear conclusions and translate strategic insights into strategic proposals. You have excellent hands on skills in one of the programming languages and demonstrated ability to build ideas and prototypes in reality as MVPs.
You have good collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills and you communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing. You're able transform your ideas, views and concepts into high-standard presentations. You have a proactive working style with can-do attitude and sense of ownership. Experience working with startu-ps, emerging technologies or growth businesses is considered as your asset.
