In our new Electric Vehicle Business Line (EVBL) we develop and manufacture battery systems from 48V up to High Voltage for automotive and industrial applications. Valmet Automotive covers the full range from contract manufacturing to a TIER1 system supplier.
Here’s where you’ll make an impact:
In the role of Battery Test Manager, you are responsible of managing a professional team of test managers and senior test managers focused on battery systems for the automotive industry and for industrial applications along the entire development process. Testing projects contains e.g. low volt tests (LV124), high voltage tests (LV123), performance & life-cycle tests as well as tightness tests, vibration tests, thermal management tests, environmental simulation, abuse testing and homologation. Developing and continuously improving the competence of your personnel is a key part of your job.
Your job include also:
Set-up and control capacities (personnel and testbeds) and capabilities and its strategic development within the organizational unit in line with the corporate objectives and in coordination with the line manager.
Developing and continuously improving the competence of your personnel.
Staff and resources planning, design and control of daily business in line with the company's objectives.
Ensuring that the organizational unit achieves its objectives.
Support sales, care and extend customer relations and acquisition.
Preparation of offers in coordination with the supervisors.
Enforcement of effective working methods.
Co-operation with other organizational units of the group.
Guarantee of occupational safety and quality.
We hope that you would have:
M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in the field of electrical engineering, automotive engineering, mechatronics or comparable qualification.
Experience in leading teams within the automotive industry in the field of component testing - especially in e-drive components.
Several years of experience as an testing professional of high-voltage storage systems.
Knowledge of experimental and testing methods, certificate as an electrician for work under HV-voltage and very good knowledge of MS Office.
Interested in new technologies and experience in working with various data acquisition and evaluation tools.
Independent, structured, communicative and team-oriented way of working.
Quality awareness as well as analytical and solution-oriented thinking and acting.
Fluent spoken and written English.
Finnish and German language skills are an advantage.
