Business Technology (BT) drives digitalization at Fortum, enabling smart solutions for customers within Fortum Group, improved asset and trading productivity, and new data driven business models. The organization brings together technical and digital competences and solutions to help optimize Fortum’s entire value chain, create excellent customer experiences and drive new sources of revenue. We are now looking for a M&A Project Manager for Business Technology to lead and drive various Mergers, Acquisition and Divestment related IT projects at Fortum. You will also have the required skills to lead other type of IT projects as required. You will be part of the BT Program Management Team consisting of 19 people, and you will be located in Espoo.
You have a Certification from a recognized Project Management organization (e.g. IMPA, PMI - PMP certification). We expect you to be able to lead projects using various methodologies like agile, waterfall, hybrid.
You have extensive experience in managing projects from pre-studies to large implementations in large international business environments. You have successfully managed a wide range of projects related to business and technology in close collaboration with geographically distributed teams. You have a proven track record covering all the competence areas needed for successful project management.
As a project manager you have managed several M&A projects through their lifecycle (deal phase, carve-outs/carve-ins, TSA periods). Besides the M&A projects, you are expected to run other IT projects when there are no M&A projects in the pipeline. Consultancy background is seen as a benefit.
You will work closely with our IT M&A team. We expect you to support creating guidelines, templates and instructions on how such projects should be managed in Fortum. You are willing to train and guide other project managers, both internals and externals when needed. Based on your skills there is an opportunity to manage internally M&A portfolio for the Fortum Business Technology’s Program Management Team as a whole.
As a person you have excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills as well as an ability to challenge and motivate others. Goal orientation and high stress tolerance help you lead several projects simultaneously or one very complex project. You are flexible and ready to take responsibility of projects allocated to you, depending on business needs. You have a positive hands-on attitude, and you can lead your team with high project leadership standards. You are fluent in English.
