We are looking for a Logistics Manager to our Tampere Plant, Finland


The main purpose of this job is to balance supply to meet demand and execute the logistics mid and short term plan at plant level by organizing and controlling the supplies up to delivery to clients and /or to the company’s various sites. Position holder should also be able to organize, lead and improve the  flow of  materials, goods and products (receipt, warehousing, preparation of orders, loading, dispatch) on a daily basis and to develop  leadership and competencies of his/her team to achieve a higher customer value.


Your main duties and responsibilities will be

  • To organize, coordinate and execute the logistics action plan / materials and products flow chain and the corresponding resources (human, budgetary, planning, technical, IS)
  • To plan material needs based on production plan and sales forecasts
  • To comply with all local health, safety and environment laws/regulations and Ahlstrom- Munksjö standards applicable to his/her function and to ensure that his/her team observe and follow these laws, regulations and standards
  • To provide logistics analysis and propose continuous improvement solutions accordingly
  • To monitor the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods
  • To communicate logistical information with customers and suppliers
  • To lead and develop logistics team according to Ahlstrom- Munksjö leadership expectations
  • To allocate and manage staff resources according to changing needs
  • To ensure strong collaboration with other functions within Ahlstrom- Munksjö
  • To use the Lean methodology to drive sustainable improvements (e.g. safety, quality, productivity)

You preferably have a bachelor degree in relevant field and a few years experience of logistics and warehousing. Logistics management , continous improvement methodology and HSE knowledge is familiar to you. Leadership skills are the must as well as good Finnish and English language and communication skills are mandatory.
