On behalf of our global client company operating on the field of medical technology, we are looking for a new employee to work in a position of Localization Specialist in Helsinki. This full-time assignment starts as soon as the suitable employee has been chosen and lasts until the
end of June 2019 with a possible extension. The selected employee will be working on Adecco's payroll.
We are looking for a person to cooperate with company’s development projects, internal or external translation vendors and local offices. In this position you will provide translations in desired form to the ordering projects within set schedule and cost goals. You will also provide advice and consultation of the language specific issues within business.
In this position you will also be responsible for
•preparing the translations and coordinating the localization process for desired language versions of
the user interface, manuals and labeling,
•having close cooperation with external translation vendors and local offices during the process,
•being a part of an integral part of managing the translation memories and terminology databases of
•Bachelor / Master studies in translation and/or linguistics or other equivalent field
•IT-technology oriented skills and drive to learn new technologies
•Working knowledge of AdobeAcrobat and / or CAT tools, e.g. Trados Studio
•Working knowledge of DITA Content Management System, e.g. Astoria, Arbotext, oXygen
We expect you to have interest in linguistics and a good command of English language and good understanding in
Finnish are mandatory in this position. Also understanding of other languages e.g. Turkish or Chinese will be seen as a plus.
